Ce restaurant n’a l’air de rien situé au milieu d’un parking à 2 pas de la plage Mermaid Beach. Mais une fois à l’intérieur vous découvrirez une ambiance sympa et chaleureuse. La carte est restreinte mais de grande qualité. Les assiettes préparées en cuisine sont savoureuses (un délice!) et le service est top. Le Ceviche et les gambas sont sensationnels. Absolutely loved our experience at this restaurant! Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The burrata was incredibly creamy and fresh — paired perfectly with the tomatoes and olive oil. The ceviche was a delightful surprise — not the typical Latin American style, but it had a unique twist that worked so well. Super refreshing and perfectly balanced. We also tried the garlic gambas, which were sizzling hot and bursting with flavor. The garlic was rich without being overpowering, and the prawns were cooked just right. And to finish it off, the churros were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and came with the most delicious dipping sauce. Deliciosa comida y excelente servicio. Cominos ceviche, croquetas, gambas, chimichurri steak y ensalada. Todo delicioso! Las croquetas las mejores, autenticas Espanolas! We had lunch today at DLR in Mermaid and were seriously impressed. Snapper tacos with mango salsa, chicken tacos with pico de gallo, house signature nachos with chicken, churros and the serious wow moment of the lemon sorbet which comes infused with fresh mint and is like nothing you’ve previously had anywhere. The food was fresh, quick to come to the table and most importantly full of flavour. My 11 year old insisted that the review needed to be written and was thrilled with the service. Perham (maître d) was friendly and smiling throughout - nothing was too much trouble. The kid later seen spooning what was left of the chocolate sauce out of his churros bowl. The place is a 6/5. Highly recommended and situated in a sweet little weatherboard style house located just off the beaten track at Mermaid Beach. ~ Stefan W

My boyfriend and I ate here as we wanted to try somewhere new- D’La Rosa was ABSOLUTELY the best choice! Although it’s quite small, the atmosphere is amazing and the staff are lovely (and make GREAT recommendations!). This place is affordable, has great service and is just a lovely place overall. The star of the show was definitely the food! It was SO SO GOOD arguably some of the best food I’ve ever had. You can really tell the food is made with love and with fresh ingredients. The natural oysters were STUNNING!! Highly recommend and we will absolutely be coming back many more times in the future! ~ Jess W

Absolutely amazing! Had a group dinner here tonight, and wow—what a fantastic experience! The food was incredible, so full of authentic Spanish flavors, and the portions were huge! You definitely get great value for money here. The staff were lovely—super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Everything we tried was delicious, and you can really tell they put a lot of care into their cooking. Honestly, I was so impressed and will 100% be coming back. Went here for a chilled lunch with family. The location gives a cantina vibe, but the food doesn't disappoint. Food: each course was well put together, although the steak could have come a little faster. The paella was good, but not the best I've ever had - I think that's partly as I chose not to have the chorizo as an add on, which would have given it a bit more kick (needed some spice and a little more salt). If you get the croquettes, I thought the chicken were OK, but the cheese were the real show stoppers. Drinks: the sangria was great as were the margaritas. I suggest ordering a jug of sangria every time for best value, you'll go through it easily. Service: good service but a little slow. Overall: I'd come here again multiple times, the price for a chilled lunch (including 2 jugs of sangria and 2 cocktails) was about $75 a head - probably a little on the pricier end but wasnt unhappy about it. Hail Mary tacos are probably on average $1 cheaper per taco. ~ Drew R

Amazing experience, been here previously for an event on a Friday night the level of service I received was none that I’ve seen before, always greeting with a smile, checking in and doing all the bare minimums that other places don’t do. Felt actually welcomed when being here Popped by today after a session to get a cheat meal and after eating the nachos, I’ll never go back to anywhere else. It was the best experience I’ve received at any restaurant and will be back from now on to make the nachos my weekly cheat meal. The best in the game. I've been to many good restaurants, good bars and I'm a food lover. D'la Rosa has really got my heart. I organised a booking for my bday and I ended up having such a special evening over there for the whole experience. It's definitely a place where I felt welcomed and the food reminded me great memories - really well done. Both the service and the food had a lot of care from the team. If you're looking for a place to feel comfortable, socialise and enjoying good flavours, I truly recommend D'la Rosa. It does have a nice intimate atmosphere. Great spot for functions. ~ Flavia R

Chanced upon this hidden gem on google maps. It was my first time trying spanish food and i didn’t expect it to be this good! Ordered 3 different flavoured croquettes, ceviche, mango snapper taco, seafood paella and the triple chocolate brownie. Each and every dish served was extremely well presented and tasted so delicious that we licked every crumb off our plates. Even a simple brownie dish tasted so rich and moist! We had such a great time here! Tried a bunch of dishes—like the honey glazed eggplant, ceviche, traditional guac, and those juicy corn cobs—and honestly, everything was delicious. We visited Dla Rosa for a casual dinner, and it truly was a lovely experience.We kicked things off with the Honey-Glazed Eggplant, which was the perfect blend of sweet and savory. I went for the Meatballs, and they were hearty and packed with flavor. My partner enjoyed the Patatas Bravas, which were simply delicious.Everything was well-prepared and beautifully presented. We had a delicious night out here, the service was amazing and all the food went above and beyond. We enjoyed pinchos - to die for. We got the jamon and Gilda to start which you cannot miss. We then had the chimichurri steak and garlic gambas as our mains! Both mains were so delicious we were licking the plate! We enjoyed all of these so much we got another jamon and a Crème Brûlée to finish which ended the night perfectly. I can highly recommend this restaurant, from the food which was amazing. Thank you Gary and Dasche who did an incredible job. We had our sons 18th here with 27 people everyone came up to us and raved over the food and told us how amazing it was and will be back, we did a banquet. Also to the staff thank you for your amazing service and attentiveness to our guets everyone raved over you all, plus the drinks are fantastic drinks. Absolutely loved our second visit to this Spanish restaurant! The service is a solid 10 — the manager is incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly. He even remembered me and my partner from our first visit, which made us feel so welcome. The other waitstaff were also very attentive and made sure everything at our table was perfect. Me and my partner had a great time at D'la Rosa. We started our night with Ceviche and tacos, which were amazing. Was his first time trying ceviche and he loved. The mince for the tacos was very tasty. For our choice of drink we had a Café Conlicor, and it was belíssimo. And to finish it all off we had the paella, and it was just amazing, so tasty and delicious. The service was great, the food was delivered quickly and everyone was very friendly. ~ Marília R

We recently held my Wifes 50th birthday at D La Rosa and we highly recommend this as a venue for events. The atmosphere was perfect, the staff so friendly and helpful and the Food was delicious. The owner was helpful and professional assisting with menu ideas, music and everything we could imagine. We had such a great night we will remember for a long time. Seriously the best Asian food I’ve ever tasted and I lived in Asia for almost 8 years in the 90’s. So glad we looked at their menu, which is so simple yet so bloody delish… I would highly recommend you stop here on your way through… we might even go in there it was that good…. if I had a couple of million spare, I would invest every cent of it in the guys running this joint. Cheerful tapas place with indoor and outdoor undercover seating. We came on a ‘first table’ which made it great value. They had a good range of drinks and cocktails. Food was excellent, it was all very fresh and full of flavour. I especially loved the calamari and the gambas! I think I would leave the croquettes next time and try something else, I found them average. Overall a lovely place for tapas! ~ Cherie H
